The Lizard

Typically lizards don’t grab my attention too much. They typically just scare when they scurry through the leaves! Most days I eat part of my lunch behind the office. There’s a large equipment shed back there that I eat part of my lunch behind and try to get some steps logged while I eat.

Since it has warmed up with spring weather I’ve been seeing a large lizard back there. The first time I saw it I thought it was a snake slivering under the wall of the metal shed since it was bigger than any lizard I had seen. There’s a small hole in the wall where it was dinged a bit cutting the grass and that’s the spot I’ve seen the lizard.

A few days later I saw it again in the same spot. It hurried off but I could tell it was a lizard this time. After walking past the hole a few times it seemed to be less afraid of me and would just sit really still when I walked past it. I few days later I saw it again in the same spot. I decided I would go get my camera from the truck and try to get a picture since I had a little more time on my lunch break. I came by the spot and it was gone. I walked by again on my way back to the office and it came back out and this time was in a better spot than usual. I snapped a few pictures of it and finally took a moment to look at them today. Looking it up I think it’s called a Broad Headed Skink.

Since I did not see it the first time I walked through I did shoot this picture since I had the camera

I want to say thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. To say thanks more I have a few free phone wallpapers here.
