At the end of college I took a trip with my friend and pastor Rob. He invited me on a camping/fishing trip to a remote place in Northern Minnesota. This trip was organized by a friend who was a graduate student at UAM and from the area, his father-in-law would also be joining us on it. The area is called the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). It is one of the most remote places I’ve ever been. As the name suggests you can only canoe into the BWCA for the most part. We canoed in over 12 hours to the place we’d camp and only saw one other couple the entire time we were there. We caught fish I never had caught ( one was northern Pike) and some nice sized Smallmouth Bass. If you’ve never caught a Smallmouth Bass on a topwater lure I’d highly recommend it. I could share story after story on this trip but that would take a while. In my office today is a map from our trip of the route we took, I wish I could find the digital file from that map to share but I might just have to try to remember to take a picture of it. If you like to fish then I can’t describe enough the fight of a Northern Pike or Smallmouth Bass but they go crazy! I’ll never forget a large Pike I caught jumped into the canoe (we tried to keep them out) and created all kinds of mess jumping around and scattering our stuff.

I want to say thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. To say thanks more I have a few free phone wallpapers here.
Please do me a favor, if you enjoyed the post please share it with a friend.
Thank So Much! -Michael
