Finally!

It is my favorite time of year, harvest time in the garden. I’ll write more on that in a minute but first let me show you our first blooming sunflower of the year:

This is the first year I remember planting this sunflower, Chocolate Cherry from Hoss Tools. My daughter loves flowers and was excited to see this blooming.

My blackberries are ripening. I think we’ve eaten more while picking than actually have brought into the house. These blackberries are the thornless Arapaho variety. I do not remember where I ordered the plants from but this is my 3rd or 4th year with them in the ground.

And finally my first fresh tomatoes! If it wasn’t for tomatoes I do not know if I would garden. It’s a bonus that the first ones are usually my favorite: Sun Gold. I plant Sun Gold each year, I love those tomatoes! There’s a few of the Super Sweet 100 tomatoes in this picture too but most are the Sun Gold. I planted one of the Super Sweet 100 plants after I found it on sale a bit late this spring. The Sun Gold I started by seed earlier this year.

I want to say thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. To say thanks more I have a few free phone wallpapers here.

Please do me a favor, if you enjoyed the post please share it with a friend.

A poster with one of my favorite photos can be purchased here.

Thank So Much! -Michael
