I’ve mentioned trying to develop more the habit of reading. I’m still reading Killing Jesus by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard (I’m a slow reader). I have grown up in the church and hearing the story of Jesus’s crucifixion but reading this book and the way the story is presented as history has been very interesting. Comparing this book back to what I have read in the bible and listened in sermons has been good. For me anyway the story of my Lord Jesus’s sacrifice is beyond an encouragement to me.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
I try to daily read my Bible. Right now I’m reading through the bible (which I’ve been doing for over a year). I finished 2 Thessalonians this morning.
On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4
