Warren Prairie – Photography With AG (Part 2)

This is a continuation from part 1 yesterday:

I recently bought a new lens for my camera, a Canon 24mm 2.8. I wanted to test it out so my daughter and I drove out to one of our favorite spots, Warren Prairie. We love seeing the wildflowers growing out at Warren Prairie. I used to have a 50mm (nifty 50) but can’t find it anywhere. The 50mm was a bit too zoomed in for me but I had some neat photos from it. I bought this 24mm lens because I needed a wide format lens. The autofocus on my wide Sigma lens has stopped working and I can’t manually get the focus right. I’m not that good at f-stop settings but hopefully using this lens I’ll get better at it. I usually just leave the lens set at the widest setting and really forget about it. I mainly just worry with setting my focal length and ISO. I’m really not that good at the camera settings stuff but do usually stay off auto.

My daughter has enjoyed getting into photography using my old camera. Some of her photos were over exposed or too bright from using a bad setting. Even with my old kit camera (Canon XSI) she did a great job. I’ll share some of her favorites below. We’re already looking forward to our next trip out to Warren Prairie to see more wildflowers!

More grasshoppers.
