This morning my daily bible reading was in Titus. Titus 3:3-7 hit me hard today and I thought sharing it might encourage you as well.
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:3-7
At one time we were foolish…ever been foolish?
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy…gotta love the buts in scripture. I’m thankful today for his love and salvation.
…we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life…have you placed trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life?
I believe this is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
