Today I’m going to continue what I call the Muddy Water and Cypress Trees series by looking back on some of my favorite photographs and the story that goes along with it.
Let’s continue the ride through the delta of Southeast Arkansas. It was the end of January 2016. The Mississippi River had flooded and pushed quite a few whitetail deer outside the levee. I drove over to Chicot Lake State Park in Lake Village, Arkansas to see the scene.
You cannot hardly drive through the delta in the winter and not see some type of waterfowl on the farm fields. I always enjoy it when I find a moment for a drive and usually stop many times for pictures. I know several times I’ve been called out by friends who were also coming through the area and will say, “I saw you on the side of the road Saturday.” Busted! Here’s a few waterfowl photos from this drive.

I then drove to Pendleton Dam on the Arkansas River near Dumas, AR. I got a few pictures there then went home. I especially enjoy getting pictures of Pelicans over at Pendleton and was able to see some on this trip.

Next Friday I’ll post on this trip again and the deer photos I was able to get. You can jump back to the previous post on this ride to the delta by clicking here.
I want to say thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. To say thanks more I have a few free phone wallpapers here.
Please do me a favor, if you enjoyed the post please share it with a friend.
Thank So Much! -Michael
