Courageous

In our bible study this week we read Acts 14 where the apostle Paul was stoned and when they thought he was dead drug him outside the city. BUT it says he got up then the next day and they went. In some podcasts I’ve been listening to the theme was courage. Then the other day after listing to some of these podcasts I came in from mowing and the movie my wife was watching was Hacksaw Ridge, a story of a very faithful soldier in WWII who would not fire a weapon but was drafted to serve in the army. He keeps saying in that movie, “Just One More” as he rescues the injured while being unarmed in a very tough battle. That takes courage. Then as I was driving the other day the song I Will Follow by Chris Tomlin came on the radio. In it he sings, “All your ways are good All your ways are sure I will trust in you alone“.

I do not know where this life is taking me but I will follow my God. He’s been way too good to me and even though I have my discouragements I know when I look back on life he’s guiding the entire time. Just like I was reminded this morning Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
