I thought I’d do something a little different on this Monday post.
Back in 2015 my family went on summer vacation to the beach. We rented a house and headed down to the Pensacola area in June. The house we rented had a metal canoe sitting behind it. After looking at it the canoe was a MonArk canoe which was a brand of boats made in my hometown of Monticello, AR which is where the name MonArk comes from. I do not the entire history of this boat company as the the business was closed when I moved to Monticello. This is the only MonArk canoe I’ve ever seen. Do you know anything about the history of this? Send me a message if you do. Were these canoes actually made by MonArk in Monticello? I’ve seen plenty of MonArk boats but like I say never a canoe so it made me wonder if these were from the same company.
