I’ve been chasing Roseate Spoonbills since August. I wish I had kept track of the miles. Well, in this week’s post on the journey I have finally seen some!
I was looking on the eBird site for the date of the latest sighting and to see if I should attempt it that week. I saw a post of a sighting from September 5 at Grand Lake near Eudora, AR. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Grand Lake but have heard of it so I headed down for my Sunday afternoon drive. As I got to the lake here’s what I saw in several cypress trees:
I wished I could have gotten a closer shot but this was the best I could get. A special thanks to Mr. Kenny Nichols for his report on eBird that sent me down to Grand Lake.
This will be the last part of this series as I just want to do some less focused photography outings next. Oh and this will not be my last posting of pictures of the Roseate Spoonbill. From the reports on eBird I took another drive the next week.
I want to say thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. To say thanks more I have a few free phone wallpapers here.
Please do me a favor, if you enjoyed the post please share it with a friend.
Thank So Much! -Michael
