More Spoonbills

I wrote last week about a drive I took towards “the delta”. From The Brake area I drove over to the Mississippi River levee where I had seen other reports on eBird. I saw some first right past the Lake Chicot Pumping Plant but the birds weren’t really closer than my first sighting (actually further) so I really did not get the photo I was after. It was sprinkling rain at this time so I thought about just heading home as the drive from The Lake Chicot Pumping Plant is long. I decided to go keep going on the drive down the levee and saw them really close and got some photos as I had hoped. I’m beyond thankful for seeing the Roseate Spoonbills like this. I’m thankful for birders reporting on eBird and my family for being patient with me as I’ve gone after this opportunity! I’ll post below some photos from this drive in groups to better tell the story.

The start of my drive, I love the views from the Mississippi River Levee.

You never know what kind of wildlife you’ll see riding the Mississippi River Levee.

The face …
This is my favorite picture of the Roseate Spoonbills.

The light was changing a bunch and I did not do well adjusting my camera. These photos are very blown out but I like the wildlife in them.

And back to Lake Village, time to head home!

Did you enjoy seeing these birds. Send me a message to let me know what is your favorite picture. Please do me a favor and if you enjoy this any share this post.
