Finally, it has cooled off! This is my favorite time of the year. Even as someone who likes to garden the first frost is a welcomed sight. For me, it has finally cooled off. I know many like the summer weather but I’m a fan of cooler temperatures! Thursday (November 2, 2023) we finally had our first noticeable frost. I think I saw a small frost on Wednesday but it was very apparent for me here in Monticello, AR on Thursday morning. I was surprised to see how the Sunn Hemp in my pollinator patch held up in the frost, so far it is still looking good! Of course the Marigolds in this patch are looking great, I’m really surprised at how well they have done in the heat of the summer. The bloom buds on the Marigolds right now are doing really good, after this cold spell I’ll see if they continue to do good. Check back later if that interests you!
