Awe

I just started a new book, The Awe Of God by John Bevere. This morning as I read the book I was really hit by Chapter 6 which is titled: Beholding Him. There are moments in my life when I seem to behold my heavenly father’s presence more. It seems these moments come when I pause just a moment and without distractions see his hand. In chapter 6 John Bevere mentioned 2 Corinthians 4:6 – For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. I’ve mentioned before the song “The Same God“. Here’s that thought again. The same God who created the sun to be light for us has placed his light in our hearts through faith in the Savior Jesus.

I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
