Better

I was driving the other day home from work when on the radio the song, Better Is One Day, came on. I’ve not really listened to this song for a long time. I’ve mentioned reading the book Awe Of God a few weeks ago. I’m re-reading it now because the message in the book really hit me. The Lord really used this song plus what I’m reading right now to speak to me.

Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalm 84:10

Let me admit here, there’s things here in life I enjoy but after those moments it leads me to wishing for something more. I’m learning that in the presense of the creator is where I need to stay more often.
