One thing I’ve tried to do more this summer in the morning before work is to go enjoy the outdoors for a little while. I try to either to go fishing or take pictures (or both). I’ve made a couple trips out to Lake Monticello and also Cut-Off Creek WMA (wildlife management area). I’ve not had huge success in fishing but it’s been enjoyable in the morning before the sun get’s up (aka before it get’s HOT) and plus I’ve had the opportunity to take some interesting pictures.

A Largemouth Bass caught at Cut-Off Creek WMA on a topwater lure.

I think the sunrise down the powerline photographs are my favorite. I was on my way out to Cut-Off Creek when I saw the sight. I had to turn around even though I told myself when I left the house that morning, NO PICTURES TODAY!
