We just got in from an evening fireworks show put on by our city. Thanks to the City of Monticello’s A&P Commission for organizing this event (check out www.exploremonticello.com for more on Monticello from the A&P Commission)! I was a bit worried right before we left the house to attend this because it was so hot! I walked out to our storage building to get lawn chairs and was soaked with sweat by the time I retrieved them and loaded in the vehicle. But by the time the sun set it was very nice outside with a breeze to cool us off. I try to be more present in a moment with my family and friends at an event such as this so I did not take but a few pictures with my cell phone. Thanks again to those who organized this community event!
Now let me say Happy Independence Day! You can find plenty of commentary on our independence today so I’ll pass on writing anything on it myself but wanted to post (some again) my favorite pictures that remind me of the independence we have here in the USA. Thanks to those who have fought for that!

Now let me say I just changed my posting schedule this week a bit. So the post that was scheduled for today has been moved to Friday. I really enjoyed putting together Friday’s post so please come back to check it out!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
