Some Recent Photo Opportunities

This post I will share two recent photography opportunities I had just in the middle of life. I try to keep my camera in my backseat for these types of times. I’ve found some of my favorite photos have been from times such as this of just in the middle of life there’s a picture I’d like to catch!

The first moment was from behind my office the other day, I was walking out for the day and got to the back door to see three deer standing right by the door. We watched them for a few minutes then I went to leave again but before I left I grabbed my camera from my truck and went back to snap some photos. I did not catch a great photo of the fawn but it was fun to watch it. We see these deer often at our office.

This next moment was from an early morning photo. I was driving home from my workout early the other morning when I drove past a neighbor’s pond and spotted this Blue Heron sitting on a limb with the sun rising behind it. But I did not have my camera with me! I had taken it in the house to get photos off it but never put it back in my truck. Since I was close to my house I drove home, picked up my camera and drove back. These aren’t the sharpest to me as I was trying to prop up on a fence post for camera stability then when the bird flew off the limb I did not get the best focus but these turned out better than I figured.

This will be a separate post tomorrow but I did want to mention it here. The other evening I drove the Mississippi River Levee as I’ve done several time to see what I might see at sunset.

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
