I’ve mentioned recently working on my fall garden. Part of this has been starting seeds for fall planting (broccoli and onions). I set my tray of plant out in the yard for better sunlight and intended to put the back under my shed. Intended is the operative word there, I forgot to put them under the shed!. It hit me after Francine come through here that I had completely forgot to move my plants! I was thinking about plans for what I was going to do instead. I went out this morning to check on the tray of plants, fully expected to see them washed out by the rain.
I was pleasantly surprised to see them looking ok. I used a tray to bottom water my plants and propped it up next to them to dry. It blew over crushing a few plants but other than that it looks ok. The broccoli is a bit leggy and the onions are sparse but that’s not because of the storm. I’ll see how the broccoli looks after some fertilizer so they may not be the best this year but that is a big “I’ll see”
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
