This week I’m going to focus my posts on some recent flower photography.
My first post of this series will be on Spider Lily flowers. On my Google of this flower I’ve found multiple names for it so hopefully I’m calling it right. I’ve noticed them growing on our church property and kept telling myself I’d stop but after the weather improved and I had more time. I finally got a chance to stop but was disappointed to see all but one was brown. I snapped a picture of the plant then went on with my day.

You may notice the ones in the background, they were all done with their growing and brown!
Then later that day I was out running an errand and noticed some more growing so I stopped on my way back through and snapped a few photos of these. I don’t consider any of these photos frame worthy but definitely a moment in time I’m thankful to have paused and saw the flowers around me. All too often I’m in a hurry and say tomorrow but tomorrow didn’t work in this case for the flowers I was looking at but thankfully I was given a chance to “stop and smell the roses” (Ok, I didn’t smell them)…

Ok, please come back tomorrow for a pretty special moment and some pictures I really like!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!

-Michael Gilbert
