Lake Monticello Star Trails

I mentioned the other day going to Lake Monticello hoping to make it to the end of the levee to take some pictures but I got a ways then saw some scenes I liked and stopped for pictures. I ran out of time to try the walk to the end of the levee (it’s a pretty long walk).

I went back a few days later with the goal of making it to the end of the levee for pictures. Before you could drive to the end of the levee but now that is gated. I didn’t know it was such a long walk as I’ve driven it several times but never walked it. Here’s some of my pictures from the morning.

I’m going to bring attention to this star trail because tomorrow’s post will be a modified version of this photo. This was a test that we will see if anyone likes it.
