Not many songbirds today…

I guess you win some, you lose some. I went back out to Lake Monticello for some more songbird photos but did not see as many as I did the other day.

I did see some other types of birds. By the briar cuts on my hands I noticed this morning it must had been a tough walk! I’ll post those pictures here tomorrow.

As I was looking for some songbirds to take a picture of this bird and a few others did land in the bushes next to the trail I was on but it stayed hidden and I never really saw the others again.

Before I left I switched my lens to my wide angle to take a few landscapes. From this set I came away with a few pictures I liked and thought I’d share…

This is probably my favorite (wonder why?)

I then turned this setup into a black and white photo. I liked how it turned out:

From the same setup I also took some panoramic photos. I like how it looks but want to attempt this one again soon…

I do not pretend to be a landscape photo person as my long wildlife lens stays on my camera most of the time. Even though this outing wasn’t as I hoped it was good to be out for a while in the outdoors (getting briar cuts) and even seeing some wildlife (I’ll post those tomorrow).

Thanks for stopping by!
