Here we are at Easter 2025. Remember, He’s (Jesus Christ) is the way…
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me. – John 14:6
Jesus sent us an advocate, at acceptance of Him as savior, we’re given the Holy Spirit as the advocate.
We’re told in John again he lives with you, and will be in you.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you
forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor
knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. – John 14:16-17
I’m listening to a podcast (Take and Read Podcast) that is going through the Gospel of Mark from the
Bible. The other day the episode I listened to went over Mark 8:31.
He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by
the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after
three days rise again. – Mark 8:31
In that verse is a word that I’ve overlooked many times. It says Jesus MUST. It wasn’t that he would
suffer but must suffer. For you and me he had to, MUST, suffer. For the wrong, the sin, it took a
sacrifice to make things right. As said in our opening verse, “…no one comes to the Father except
through me (Jesus)…”
In the podcast episode it was mentioned that Jesus set his face to Jerusalem. The mission of His time
here on Earth was to make THE WAY.
“… Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.” – Luke 9:51
Let’s not stop there at the cross. Please go back to Mark. When I first read it I missed the line (habit I
guess). It says there at the end of Mark 8:31 “…and after three days rise again.”
I love the video of a of a message by S.M Lockridge It’s Friday BUT Sunday’s coming!
I want to end our time today with a few moments of worship…
Remember: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
Let’s continue with John 3:17-18: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does
not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and
only Son.
Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me, He’s worthy of our praise!
I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
