The Valley

So, as I talked about last week – He (God) heard his children then and he hears His children now. He’s the Same God, He’s the ROCK. The other day I got in my truck to go somewhere and a few songs came on the radio that really hit me. I really didn’t think about how related they were until just now!

As I mentioned last week after meeting Jesus as my savior my overwhelming fear of death went away.

My life changed! I was saved!! <- No more fearing death for me!!

Oh Death Where Is Your Sting? I love the line here: “You ain’t nothing but a stone my Savior rolled away“

As I was writing today’s post I thought of Louie Giglio’s book “Don’t Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table”. If you haven’t read I could not recommend it more! In the book he talks about Psalm 23. I flipped through the book this evening (I need to read it again) looking for a point to throw in here. I did not get far and found something I had forgotten from the book. In the book Louie Giglio quotes Habakkuk 3:17-18:

Even though the fig trees have no fruit
    and no grapes grow on the vines,
even though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no grain,
even though the sheep all die
    and the cattle stalls are empty,
I will still be joyful and glad,
    because the Lord God is my savior.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 (GNT)

Louie goes on to say, “Developing this kind of ‘even though/I will’ faith changes the temperature and trajectory of your life. When the pressure mounts, this kind of faith doesn’t deflate.” – Louie Giglio

Remember: “Even Though/I Will!“
