A Look Back At Some Mississippi Kite Posts

So far this week I’ve not had a chance to get out to take any photographs. This got me to thinking (Scary Thing)

With my backyard posts last week I was thinking about the tree that’s in many of those photos. Looking at those photos and looking back to a year go I was amazed at how the dead tree has changed (dropped limbs) in a year.

Last year (2024) I posted two posts about this time of year of a Mississippi Kite bird in this tree in my backyard. I’ve not seen it this year but if I do I’ll try to get a photo…

It was interesting to me at least that I just posted about the geese going to roost at Lake Monticello well as I was looking for these pictures I saw I had also posted a picture of the geese leaving their roost at Lake Monticello last August (hard to believe it’s already August 2025).

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
