I’m re-reading “Don’t Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table” By Louie Giglio right now. I just finished chapter 8 and my highlights from the chapter were numerous! In the chapter Mr. Giglio talks about Peter. The story of Peter, the rock, is one of my favorites. I wrote a little about Peter a while back:
My favorite line in chapter 8 is, “Peter failed, but he wasn’t a failure”. Jesus had a plan for Peter and used him, again the rock, to build his church.
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. -Matthew 16:18
Go tell Peter, I’m alive! The enemy (Satan) tried to stop Peter, he tried to change his identity but as Louie Giglio says, “God changes your identity. The Enemy wants to define you by your scars. Jesus wants to identify you by His scars.“
As Jesus says, “Come and have breakfast.” (John 21:12) Or “Come close to Me” (Louie Giglio)!
By HIS Wounds, We ARE Healed!
I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
