This week I want to start a 6 part series sharing songs from a new playlist I’m listening to on YouTube. These song were put out by “God Behind Bars” from a group of artists who recently spent time at Angola prison. Over the next six weeks I’m going to share one song from the playlist and maybe a thought or two. If you want to listen to all the songs now you can look up God Behind Bars.

There’s several scripture I think about when I listen to this song. Here’s one:

I could list frustration after frustration in this life. BUT: I leave it all behind! He’s given me a new life through the blood of Christ.

Do you know Christ? Have you accepted him as Savior? Are you freed by HIS blood?

I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
