Fear Not!
Ok, here we are at the beginning of 2026. These thoughts have been on my mind for a while. I needed the encouragement when I first heard it from Annie F. Downs on it the radio one morning and maybe you do too. I found the quote on Instagram because I was driving when I heard Ms. Downs talking about it.
Quoting a prayer from her pastor, Kevin Queen she said on the radio:
“God has not forgotten the recipe for manna.”
Manna was the food God provided for the Israelites in the desert in the book of Exodus. Every day, He gave them exactly what they needed.
Jesus told us to pray that. “Give us this day our daily bread,” asking God to provide enough for TODAY.
That’s what I need.
I think I need more. I think I need Him to hand me days worth of provisions, I think I need weeks worth of answered questions, I think I need Him to tell me NOW how things are going to go THEN, whether that THEN is tomorrow or next Tuesday or next year.
I don’t.
I need enough for today.
