As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!
“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

I’ve been saying for a while I was going to burn my wildflower patch to get rid of some weeds. It has been very dry and windy around here so I’ve held off. With the melting of the ice the ground was pretty wet plus I dug a nice line around my patch to keep the fire contained. I stood on one corner of the patch and my son stood on the other to watch it burn in case it got over the line. The result was a very clean patch of ground! I hope my wildflowers really pop out here soon once it warms up. This patch has become my favorite of perennial flowers (other than fresh tomatoes). I’ll report back if/when it starts to grow back! I need to buy some tomato seeds to get them started!
I snapped a few pictures while it burned:
I didn’t think to get pictures of the patch before but I’ve got a few after. Look at how good the fire line contained the fire!
Clean as a whistle!
Now, if I can just see some wildflowers in 2026!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
