As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!
“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”
In the Bible, Mathew 27:20-23 struck me the other day. At Jesus’s trial Pilate asks, as custom, who the crowd wants him to release from prison: the criminal Barabbas or the Messiah, Son of God, Jesus Christ. The crowd yells they want Barabbas. The criminal. The CSB calls him a notorious prisoner.
Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” And he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!” – Matthew 27:20-23 (ESV)
This struck me as I read. I may not always choose a criminal over Jesus but how many time have I went for something else?
After hearing Barabbas was their request Pilate asks what the crowd wants to do with Jesus? They continually shouted: “Crucify him
HE, Jesus, was crucified/died for you and I. As we are reminded in John 3:16 –

We are washed by his blood. We are forgiven of our sin. We are made whole. Through fain in Jesus we are given eternal life in heaven!
And please don’t forget the word Jesus gives us after his resurrection:
HE’s with us!
Even when I choose the other thins in life HE promises to care, love, BE WITH US.
Do you know Jesus as savior? Have you me the Messiah? He was sent to this Earth for you and I!
I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
