Working On Wildflower Patch Again

As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!

“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

Ok last week I posted where I had burned my wildflower patch to get rid of the weeds…

Well this week I’m back working on the patch some more. I’ve collected a few seeds from the flowers back in the fall and I tossed them out on the burnt patch ahead of a rain shower moving in now as I’m writing this (Saturday evening). The hope is the rain will push the seeds into the dirt for germination and cooler temperatures will help the seeds stratify in the dirt before spring. One of the main flowers I’m going after is purple coneflower but it takes two years for them to get mature enough to bloom so the flowers I had last year were two years old, I never knew the purple coneflowers were in the patch until last year.

The few seeds I collected to add to the patch
Slinging seeds (not sure about t-shirts in February)!

I guess we’ll just wait and see if any of this works!

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
