I've mentioned before how messages that I need in life seem to repeat. What I thought the other day was the key point hit me this morning as a part of it. There are moments in my life of influence both good and bad but looking back the moments have shaped me in who I … Continue reading Moments Of Influence

Callaway Crabapple
Back in July I posted on my Callaway Crabapple tree. The tree is about 4 years old I think. This is the second year it has had fruit with this year being more fruit than last year. Of the other fruit trees I planted at the same time this tree is the only one to … Continue reading Callaway Crabapple
Two Years
I did not realize it had been two years until my wife reminded me the other day. Two years ago at the end of September after being in the hospital for about three months I finally got to come home. Oh the journey it has been! The day two years ago was special. Oh the … Continue reading Two Years
More From Grand Lake
For this morning's Muddy Water and Cypress Trees Post I'll post some more pictures I took at Grand Lake while watching the Roseate Spoonbills. I saw quite a few birds on this trip. If you're a birder then I recommend you head down to Grand Lake at Eudora, AR. I'm really thankful I got to … Continue reading More From Grand Lake
Chasing The Roseate Spoonbill (Finally Part 10)
I've been chasing Roseate Spoonbills since August. I wish I had kept track of the miles. Well, in this week's post on the journey I have finally seen some! I was looking on the eBird site for the date of the latest sighting and to see if I should attempt it that week. I saw … Continue reading Chasing The Roseate Spoonbill (Finally Part 10)
But God…
I mentioned last week reading Courage by Mark Clements. I've finished the book but am going back through the book now. It struck me the other day in chapter 2 these sentences: "But God is not surprised by any circumstances. He is especially not surprised by those of His own doing." (Mark Clements, page 19) … Continue reading But God…
Fall Tomato Update
Let's look at my fall tomatoes this morning. But first, I'd like to show a bouquet of flowers my daughter picked yesterday even from the pollinator patch. My fall tomatoes are struggling, I've lost a few but a few are looking great. I also have some plants from my earlier planting that are looking great!
Another Swamp Picture?!
Again? This Muddy Water And Cypress Trees post is again another picture taken from Seven Devils WMA. I walked around Seven Devils as the water was up in the winter. I caught a glimpse of this log in the water and thought it would make a great photo blurred with several photos. For the photographers … Continue reading Another Swamp Picture?!
Chasing The Roseate Spoonbill – On The River (Part 9)
I took my 10 year old son, Nicolas, over to Choctaw Island to walk around and look for the spoonbill bird. He loves playing around the Mississippi River so we walked a bit around the bank of the river then headed home. I really didn't get too many pictures on this outing but had a … Continue reading Chasing The Roseate Spoonbill – On The River (Part 9)
Courage
Right now I'm reading Courage - For Perilous Times - Life Lessons from Esther - By: Mark Clements. I could not recommend the book more, each chapter leaves me wishing to keep reading to see what is next. I typically read about two chapters from the book plus the chapters it is referencing in the … Continue reading Courage
