A Quick Round Of Backyard Birding

I’m off work today for Memorial Day. I looked out the backyard and saw a bird perched on my wheelbarrow in the garden. I quickly grabbed my camera and changed clothes. My family has been stuck inside all day due to rain. Well it was off and on sprinkling rain while I was out there so this is the only shot I got since I didn’t want to get wet! I wish I was closer for the first or second photos as the position of the bird was better.

Photo BOk, here’s a cropped version of the previous photo with a little different edit…
Photo C….and a slightly desaturated version of that photo…
Photo D…and a full desaturated black and whit version with a little brightening.

Ok, of these three edits which do you like? I typically don’t do much editing like this but wanted to do something a little different. Please vote below:

Please excuse the mess in my garden, this is a spot I’m working on for use next year.

This is a Brown Thrasher, not a colorful bird but one I’ve seen before around my garden. I had hoped to do some more photography today but didn’t want to get my camera wet!

Hopefully I’ll get back out and set my blind up for some birding soon (it’s getting hot, so it’s just like it was in this previous post – see link below)

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
