The Coneflower (With Revisit)

This week I had a picture I want to share from my wildflower patch again but I’ve got a few pictures I want to share first…

The other day I went for a walk before work and before it got too hot at our city park. Well one of those goals worked out! I may have walked a few laps but I was already dressed for work and when I started to sweat I thought it would not be a good idea to show up at my office as a sweaty mess so I stopped and returned to my truck. When I did this squirrel was in front of my truck eating at the park pavilion so I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pictures using my truck as a tripod…

Well now on to the purple coneflower I mentioned earlier…

A few days ago I walked down to my garden after a rain shower to check on things. I did not have my camera but saw a Purple Coneflower in my wildflower patch with water dripping off the flower. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see these in my patch as I did not remember seeing them last year. On reading about the Purple Coneflower I’ve learned they do not typically flower until two years after planting!

For a handheld iPhone picture I was pleasantly surprised at how good this picture turned out!

Well as I was looking at my pictures for this week’s post I wished I had another picture of this Purple Coneflower so I went and grabbed my camera (and tripod) and headed down to my garden before it got too dark. Several of my pictures had a bit of movement in them as the wind is blowing some with a storm blowing in…

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
