As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!
“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

I’m going to post my “extra post” on Monday this week. But first a little house keeping note:
I’ve added to the menu at the top of the page a link to “My Story” and added links to posts I wrote about my time in Chicago. It is hard to believe it has been a year since I was up there for a third surgery. Chicago, IL is part of my story and I’m so thankful for the opportunity!
Ok, on with my main purpose for today’s post…
I’ve felt a tug, a direction from the Lord, a call to share my story. It is why I started this blog. I started it thinking the surgeries that ended with a stroke and a long time in the hospital in Little Rock, AR were the story. Then I was told I needed a third surgery then at the last minute changed my scheduled surgery from being back in Little Rock, AR to Chicago, IL. I will have a one year checkup in the coming weeks and will share about what I’m told after those appointments.
So today, I write two or three posts here. The post right now are a Tuesday Photography post and Thursday Encouragement from the Word Of God then I try for an “extra” post Wednesday that is usually another photo or encouragement. At least that is my format of things right now but it could change as it has a couple times since starting this site.
Now, back to the “Why”. I do not feel like I could verbally share my story as I’m not the most coherent person speaking these days but I can write a sentence. I might typo quite a bit (sorry if my writings/typos bug ya). I try to go back over the writing but sometimes I’m in a rush and do not get to review or I just miss the typo (I do try). Anywho, my why is to share my life and the current days, encouragement from music and the Word Of God, and a little on my past experiences in life.
The other day the bible reading plan I’m doing this year along with friends from my church read Jeremiah chapter 29. I’ve heard Jeremiah 29:11 many times but the encouragement came from the verses before and after verse 11 for me. I highly encourage you to read Jeremiah chapter 29. I went and read my Tony Evans Commentary on it which says, “We are to pursue the social and spiritual wellbeing of the community where we live, work, and raise families, which will result in improved lives for us.” The reading plan (The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel) I’m on put it this way, Bloom where you are planted”.
So my “Why” on this rambling mess is to bloom, to share, to highlight the places I go and to share what the God of the universe highlights to little ole me during the week!
HIS plan is use us!
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” – Mark 12:30-31
Thrive where you are planted!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
