As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!

“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

Let me tell you, this word from God hit me hard! I’m reading a daily devotional from the Bible App called “EL ROI – The God Who Sees Me“. (As I searched for that link I see there’s several other El Roi studies I’ll need to do next)

El Roi? What’s that?

In scripture El Roi comes from Genesis where Hagar runs from Sarai after becoming pregnant with Ishmael from Abram. In Hagar’s distress she ran away from Sarai and sat down by a spring in the wilderness. An angel of the Lord came and sought her and encouraged her in her distress.

So she named the Lord who spoke to her: “You are El-roi,” for she said, “In this place, have I actually seen the one who sees me?” – Genesis 16:13

In the footnotes the bible says on this verse: El Roi = God Sees Me

The devotional for day three starts out with: “Rejection has a sharp sting. It whispers, “You were not enough.” It can shape the way we enter rooms, relationships, and how we show up for opportunities.”

Ever been rejected? Had doors closed you either didn’t see coming or thought they were? I have!

But the devotional continues:

“But Scripture tells us something radical: before the foundation of the world, you were chosen.
Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love”

Did you catch that…

HE chose us!

HE sees us!

I hate to copy/paste for this entire post but this really struck me hard as I read it:

“Before someone rejected you — you were chosen.

Before someone walked away — you were chosen.

Before you doubted yourself — you were chosen.

You Were Chosen!

Jesus Paid It ALL!

– HE Sees Us!!

Do you know the ONE who paid it all?

I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
