This Was Unexpected (spacey photos)

As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!

“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

Change of plans for today’s post! I’m going to push my looking back post (previously scheduled) until next week. The past two mornings I’ve gone out to Lake Monticello before work to take photos. This morning (Tuesday, October 13) I went to Lake Monticello for photos and started taking the pictures as usual. As I did I saw the International Space Station come by and thought, “oh great something I’ll have to look at in editing”. Well right after I saw it I started my camera on another exposure but noticed this bright plume in the scene. I did not know hat it was so I continued with my photographs for a little while then packed up my camera gear as I left to go get gas in my truck. I searched online for information on what I had just seen and found it was a rocket going to supply the space station. I could not believe what I had just seen. I was just going for a few quick photograghs before work and was able to catch an unforgettable scene.

I’ve argued with myself today since I already had a post written for today but decided to wait and publish the planned looking back post until next week.

Enough rambling, here’s the photographs!

The International Space Station:

Falcon 9 Rocket and Dragon cargo spacecraft

This was one of those days I’m very thankful to have been out taking photographs.

Sometimes plans work as expected but like today, somethings go unplanned (like falling in the mud – lol)

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
