Backyard Bird Photography (Post 1)

I mentioned in the two posts last week, which were with the photo outings I had right before I left for Chicago back in October, that this week I’d focus on some backyard photos taken while I was home recovering. During this time I could not drive. I’m thankful for the friends and family that gave me a ride when needed. I’m especially thankful for my father-in-law, Joe, who gave me more rides than should be requested! Next week I’ll show photos from a ride my dad took me on. Below are links to my two posts from last week:

Both of these outings were fun. I especially thank the friends who invited me to wat the stars with them! The comet was a goal type moment for me. One I tried three different times to see but in true MG fashion I did see it at the last attempt!

This post is part one of my favorite setup (birding) for backyard photography. This will be a two part post with part two having something a bit different that caught me off guard! Let me just say I was not quick enough to get a good photo of the moment but it made for a neat day for sure. It was good in my recovery to have this to do! For this and tomorrow’s setup I put some birdseed out to attract the birds closer. It was fun to be able to watch them.

Birdseed placed on a piece of plywood, clamped to fence (do what you gotta do)

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
