Quick Outing Before It Gets Hot!

Saturday morning I got out early and went out to Lake Monticello before the heat hit with the rising sun! I wasn’t out there long before I started to sweat. I did get a few photos but before I share those I want to share a bit of encouragement…

The other day the song Great Are You Lord popped in my head then when I left for my morning workout it was the song that played on my radio when I started my truck. Today, as I was doing my walking and listening to a podcast (Take And Read Podcast) the episode I listened to made me think about this truth again!

I guess you could say I needed the encouragement and hopefully it’ll help you too!

In Genesis the bible tells us that God created man in his image then breathed into him (Adam) his breath of life.

“Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” – Genesis 2:7

Tony Evans in his commentary on this verse says, “This combination is astounding: Adam was, at one and the same time, a piece of dirt and the bearer of God’s breath.”

At this I say very loud, “Great are you Lord! It’s your breath in my lungs!”

It’s in my moments when I finally get into creation that I usually pause to think about the creator God. Yes, Saturday was hot but it was beautiful to be outside in what He created listening to the birds sing and see the beauty in creation!

Ok, when I got out of my truck this was my first sight so I had to snap a photo!
I wanted to get some up close photos of the wildflowers but the wind was blowing too much. These are a little blurry from movement.
On the hunt, this bird flew down on whatever it spotted right after I snapped this photo
Gotta have a photo of a pine tree in South Arkansas!
The birds were very active out at Lake Monticello!
The contrast of this young Sycamore tree’s colors caught my eye in the morning’s sunlight.
This snag in the morning’s sunlight caught my eye also
I saw several blackbirds flying around but couldn’t snap a photo quick enough, but did catch this one!
Again, the birds were very active out at Lake Monticello!
The contrasting colors caught my eye on this one
Again, the contrasting colors were very eye catching on this one!
Well, you’ll see that colors catch my eye quite a bit!
Since I couldn’t get a macro (up close) of the wildflowers I snapped a few photo of this tree!
Another closeup view of the tree (macro)

As I said at the beginning of today’s post, it’s in my moments in creation, if I pause, I see God’s handiwork! Again I say:
