I'll continue a little more on BWCA this week....On the trip out back to our trucks in the Boundary Waters the trip out took us by some rock paintings. I need to do some reading on the history of these but I thought it was a very interesting part of the experience. BWCA

Fishing Sunrise
One of my favorite places to fish is Moro Bay here in south Arkansas. My family usually takes a trip each year to stay in the cabins at Moro Bay State Park. Moro Bay is right off the Ouachita River just south of Hermitage, AR. The fishing opportunities around there are endless. One fall morning … Continue reading Fishing Sunrise
Cypress Sunset
One of my favorite sunset photos is from Lake Chicot State Park in Southeast Arkansas. We had gone over for a Memorial Day Weekend family trip and I walked out on the dock as the sun was setting on our first night. Being the photography junkie that I am I had my camera with me. … Continue reading Cypress Sunset
Alaska Whales
I've been writing about our trip on an Alaskan Cruise back in 2009. I will continue on that for one more week with a few photos from the whale watching trip we went on. It was the last stop of our trip, Juneau. We didn't have anything planned but after talking it over we figured … Continue reading Alaska Whales

Our cruise started in Vancouver, Canada and went up through the Inside Passage to Hubbard Glacier then back down to Vancouver with stops along the way. Hubbard … Continue reading Hubbard Glacier
Lake Ouachita
I grew up taking most family vacations to Lake Ouachita in west Arkansas. When I was really young my family tent camped up there. Until a really heavy rain storm came and flooded the tent we camped in we'd tent camp. After this trip I'm told my grandpa said enough of that non sense and … Continue reading Lake Ouachita
Photography (Getting Started)
For as long as I can remember I've always had an interest in photography. I'm not the most gifted at it but enjoy taking pictures. Before my wife and I got married I bought my first DSLR to take on our honeymoon trip to Alaska. The camera was a kit Canon Rebel XSI. I've since … Continue reading Photography (Getting Started)
Ready Or Not….
Spring is coming quick. Seems like every time I get outside I see new signs such as these from a few recent outings. Which signs of spring also means for us here in the south the yellow cloud of evil dust is coming to cover everything!
