Courage

Right now I’m reading Courage – For Perilous Times – Life Lessons from Esther – By: Mark Clements. I could not recommend the book more, each chapter leaves me wishing to keep reading to see what is next. I typically read about two chapters from the book plus the chapters it is referencing in the Bible a day. If you’re not familiar with Esther let me encourage you to read it in the bible and get Courage to read with it.

This morning while I walked I listened to a podcast1 on Esther. The podcaster made the comment as she compared Esther to Daniel that God does not waste a moment in our life. Then today while I worked I listened to a sermon2 that said “Man’s setback is God’s setup”. I found much encouragement from both of these and am thankful I’m reading Esther and have the book Courage to guide me right now to bring these points together for me. Just as it says in Esther I know I’m here…”for such a time as this”.

John 9:3, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Let me encourage you again to look at the book Courage for you personal reading or group study. You will not be disappointed!
