I mentioned in last week’s post how my family just returned from our summer vacation. We flew down to Clearwater, FL then spent the night at St. Pete Beach then flew out to Key West, FL the next day where we spent several days before flying out from Key West back to Clearwater then on to Arkansas. My favorite part of this trip was the day we went snuba diving. If you’re ever in a place with snuba diving I highly recommend it. The guide we went with (and could not recommend them more is Snuba Of Key West). In snuba diving the air tanks are placed in a floating raft and you are hooked up to the tanks with twenty (20) foot hoses to allow you go down under water. I talked to the crew of our guide about my past and they suggested I get in the water, snuba with my family while holding on to the air tank raft which was floating at the surface. I enjoyed being able to see the beauty of the ocean floor while seeing my family have a great time. Of course everytime I looked down my son was gone again, finding a new creature! Here’s a few pictures our guides took while out there…
We started the trip out relaxing at St. Pete Beach, FL before catching tour flight down to Key West. My lens was fogged up at first then cleared up a little so these photos are not quite as sharp (these birds put on quite the show)…
I believe these next two photos are my favorite photos from the trip. Taken at St. Pete Beach, FL…
For our beach time while at Key West we spent our time at Fort Zachary State Park (twice). It was a very nice and clean beach…
We went to Dry Tortugas National Park one day. To get out to the park it was a long boat ride from Key West. At Dry Tortugas is Fort Jefferson which from my reading was built 1846-1875…
Well that’s a wrap on these photos. Next week I’ll be back with photos from my life here in Arkansas!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!

Love the pictures and hearing about your vacation, Michael! We’ve never been to the Keys but always talked about going over the years. I’m so glad you all got to go. Your Uncle Jeff loved snorkeling when we went to St. Thomas. I bet he’d love snuba diving! Thanks for sharing!
