“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”
I’m continuing the thought from last week:
The Word of God hit me hard last week on bearing fruit, I wrote out some notes but didn’t get through them all on my post last week so I’m going to keep going…
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23
My testimony is my attempt at bearing fruit. Sharing the Love of God and HIS impact on my life. I’ve heard it said your testimony of HIS touch, impact, love can never be questioned. Then from my notes came this passage from scripture:
The “fruit of righteousness” caught my attention here so I searched what that was. I was pointed to Isaiah 32:17.
Isaiah 32:17 says in the CSB:
The result of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness
will be quiet confidence forever.
In the NIV the verse says:
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
So, the fruit or result will be peace and cause quiet confidence FOREVER
Tony Evans pointed to John 15:1-8
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Every branch in me that does not produce fruit he removes, and he prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me. If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples.
I do not know exactly how but I know he’s at work in my life and I pray you see the same work. HE prunes EVERY Branch that produces fruit so that it WILL produce MORE fruit.
My prayer for you and I today is: HE remains in us as we seek to remain in HIM.
Just as Philippians 1:11 says, I say:
To God Be The Glory!
For The Things He Has Done!
What has he done? Let me encourage you, if you don’t know think through your life. List out the movements of his hand. For me it started when I was a kid first meeting my savior then I can see it “randomly” from there.
But first, do you know HIM in the first place? I say it is as easy as ABC:
I believe salvation is as easy as ABC. Admit You’re A Sinner, Believe Jesus Is Lord, Call Upon His Name (Confess).
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
