As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!
“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”
It’s Labor Day Weekend as I’m writing this post. I did get out and take a few pictures last week in my backyard and then I snapped a picture on my drive to work the other day that is probably a favorite picture from anything I’ve taken a picture of in a little while (I’ll share it in a moment, but first I’ll share the ones from my backyard. I have been having some trouble with the camera lens I used on these picture, specifically with the auto focus so I’ll note you may notice a little fuzziness in these pictures.
Ok, now my favorite photo. I was on my way to work not looking forward to the day. There was a very small summer thunderstorm going over our town and here’s what I saw:
It’s the promise of hope, the rainbow. It was the reminder I needed as I started my day. Maybe not my “best” photo but a capture of a reminder from my Lord. The thunderstorm was so small I had to zoom the weather map in all the way to see it. I then got to my office and had to just sit in my truck a few minutes as the thunderstorm passed over.
A reminder from the Bible on the rainbow:
I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
– Genesis 9:13-17 (ESV)
I’m hoping with the long Labor Day weekend I get out for some pictures sometime this weekend to share next week. But for now I’m staying out of this heat (I’m being lazy for a little while today)!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:
- Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
- Share with a friend.
These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.
Thanks!
