The “Volunteer” and a Few Wildflowers

Click On “My Story -The Tragedy” link in menu above for more on my story in this life.

As I go through life it is my goal to bring praise to his name who created it all!

“…Christ will be exalted in my body…”

Last June I posted a picture of a “volunteer” sunflower in my garden. Well, I have another one coming up in the same spot! The deer have found it and snacked on it and a few of my other sunflowers but the plants look good other than missing a few leaves!

I took a selfie with the plant but looked way tired (it’s true, I’m tired) so I’m not going to post it since it really does not help tell a story!

Another project that’s going well in my garden this year is my wildflower patch. It is exploding with color. Here’s a link to a previous post on the patch.

Here’s a few closeup pictures from my walk round the patch this afternoon! I’ll have to get down there with my DSLR camera for some better pictures this weekend!

My garden is growing very slow this year as it is very dry! Looking at the post linked above I had Zinnias blooming in June of 2025 but this year my Zinnias are only a few inches tall and been in the ground for over a month (I believe). My tomatoes are very short but putting on a few tomatoes. My squash and Cucumbers are barely growing and I figure with the heat coming will not produce anything at this rate.

What is looking good are the Peas and Okra my daughter requested I plant. (I’ll have to get some pictures of the plants this weekend!)

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
