Backyard Bird Photography – w/ Surprise Guest (Post 2)

I mentioned in the two posts last week, which were with the photo outings I had right before I left for Chicago back in October, that this week I’d focus on some backyard photos taken while I was home recovering. During this time I could not drive. I’m thankful for the friends and family that gave me a ride when needed. I’m especially thankful for my father-in-law, Joe, who gave me more rides than should be requested! Next week I’ll show photos from a ride my dad took me on. Below are links to my two posts from last week:

Both of these outings were fun. I especially thank the friends who invited me to watch the stars with them! The comet was a goal type moment for me. One I tried three different times to see but in true MG fashion I did see it at the last attempt!

As I was watching the birds a deer ran into my backyard. I believe this was a young “button buck”. I was not positioned with my camera to take many photos of it as a post from my porch was in my way but I did snap a few pictures…

This post is part two of my favorite setups (birding) for backyard photography. As I said yesterday it was good in my recovery to have this to do! For tomorrow’s post I’ll attempt my first long exposure setting up in my driveway.

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my ramblings! I have a few requests:

  • Please consider subscribing if you’d like to be notified of when I post again.
  • Share with a friend.

These three items help me to know if I am doing this right. A comment (good or bad) helps me to know what’s working and what’s not.

Thanks!
